You might not know it, but there are a whole lot of visa related details you need to consider before even applying for a Singapore Tourist Visa For Indians. This article will tell you everything: from the documents needed and steps involved, to what could go wrong and how to avoid it!

A Tourist Visa is an entry permit allowing foreigners to visit Singapore for tourism purposes. It is typically valid for 2 months upto 2 years. To apply for a Singapore Tourist Visa, you will need to submit your passport, a completed application form, and supporting documents such as proof of financial capability and onward travel arrangements.

There are two types of Tourist Visas for Singapore: the Electronic Visa (eVisa) and the Standard Tourist Visa (STV). The eVisa can be applied for and issued online, whereas the STV must be applied for at a Singapore embassy or consulate overseas.

Both visas allow multiple entries into Singapore, but the eVisa permits stays of up to 90 days per visit while the STV allows stays of up to 30 days per visit. If you intend to stay in Singapore for longer than the allowed period, you will need to apply for a Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP).

Whether you apply for an eVisa or STV, note that your visa application may be refused if you have a criminal record or if immigration authorities deem you ineligible for entry into Singapore.

The process of applying for a Singapore Tourist Visa is relatively simple and can be done entirely online. However, there are a few things to keep in mind before beginning the application process.

Before beginning the online application, gather all of the required documents. These include a passport sized photo, a copy of your passport, and proof of travel insurance. Once you have all of these items, visit the website of the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

On the ICA website, click on the “Visa” tab and then select “Tourist Visa” from the drop-down menu. This will take you to the online application form. Complete all of the required fields and attach the required documents. Once you have submitted your application, you will be given a confirmation number. Keep this number handy as you will need it to check on the status of your application.

The ICA will review your application and issue a decision within Five working days. If your application is approved, you will receive an email with instructions on how to make payment for your visa fee. Once payment has been made, your e-Visa will be sent to you via email. Print out this visa and bring it with you when you travel to Singapore as it will need to be shown upon arrival.

Assuming that you are not a Singaporean or Permanent Resident of Singapore, you will need a visa to enter the country.

There are different types of visas for different purposes of travel, so please ensure that you apply for the right visa. For instance, if you are travelling for business purposes, you will need to apply for a business visa instead.
